To thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and to promote and practice the spirit of educators, Boda College of Jilin Normal University held a special lecture titled “Forging the Soul and Strengthening Teachers with the Spirit of Educators, Fulfilling the Mission of Cultivating Talents in the New Era” on September 17 in the Lecture Hall of the Library. The event featured Professor Xia Yuxu, Dean of the School of History and Culture and doctoral supervisor at Jilin Normal University, as the keynote speaker. All faculty members attended the lecture and experienced a profound ideological and spiritual enlightenment.

Drawing on her years of research and teaching experience, Professor Xia systematically expounded on the contemporary connotations and practical paths of the spirit of educators from the perspective of integrating traditional Chinese culture with teacher ethics development. She encouraged teachers to educate through culture and nurture students through virtue, integrating noble moral character into their daily teaching practices.

The lecture was rich in content and vivid in examples, receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience. Teachers expressed that the lecture further strengthened their original aspiration and mission of educating people for the Party and cultivating talents for the nation. They vowed to carry forward the spirit of educators, continuously improve their teaching ability and moral cultivation, and better fulfill their educational responsibilities.

This event served as an important initiative of Boda College of Jilin Normal University to enhance faculty development and strengthen moral education among teachers. It provided strong ideological support and spiritual motivation for the implementation of the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.
