Boda College of Jilin Normal University Holds a Lecture on History of War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

To solemnly commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and to guide all faculty and students to deeply understand the profound significance of this historic period while carrying forward the great spirit of the War of Resistance, Boda College of Jilin Normal University successfully held a special lecture on the history of the War of Resistance from 14:30 to 16:00 on September 17 in the Academic Lecture Hall of the Gymnasium.

This lecture served as both an important measure in implementing the overall arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Education Working Committee for commemorative activities, and as a key part of the college’s own series of events. It fostered a strong campus atmosphere of remembering history, honoring heroes, and cherishing peace.

The lecture was delivered by Zhou Shujun, Party Secretary of the College. With a broad historical perspective and a clear chronological framework, Secretary Zhou guided the audience through the momentous and challenging years of the War of Resistance. In reviewing the nation’s suffering and heroic struggle, he elaborated on the rich connotations and contemporary significance of the great spirit of resistance, allowing the red revolutionary genes to be passed on through deep reflection and intellectual engagement.

Li Ying, Deputy Party Secretary of the College, along with heads of Party affairs departments, all Party branch secretaries, advisors, student Party members, Party activists, and representatives of the Class of 2025, attended the lecture.

At the conclusion of the event, both teachers and students expressed that the lecture not only provided them with a more systematic and profound understanding of the history of the War of Resistance, but also deeply moved them with the enduring power of the great resistance spirit. As educators and young students in the new era, they pledged to take this lecture as an opportunity to transform the belief of remembering history and safeguarding peace into a driving force for progress — to inherit the red gene, shoulder the mission of the times, and contribute to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation through dedication in teaching, learning, and service.
