Boda College of Jilin Normal University is located in Siping City, Jilin Province, a heroic city on the beautiful Songliao Plain.
The college began its preparatory phase in 1999 and was officially approved as a secondary college of Jilin Normal University by the Jilin Provincial Education Commission in April 2000, welcoming its first cohort of students that autumn. In March 2004, it was accredited by the Ministry of Education as an independent college. Through continuous exploration in educational practice, Boda College has gradually developed its distinctive characteristics and brand advantages.
The college has established its educational philosophy as “Everything for Students’ Success, For the Success of Every Student”; its guiding principles as “Serving Society with Scientific Orientation, Fostering Virtue through Education”; its development strategy as “Centering on Education, Driven by ;Demand, Pursuing Quality for Survival, and Developing through Distinctiveness”; and its goal as “Building a First-Class Independent College Satisfying Students and Parents, Recognized by Society, with Distinctive Features and High Reputation,” along with the motto “Learn Broadly for Application, Cultivate for Lifelong Growth.”
The campus covers an area of over 620,000 square meters, featuring a tranquil environment, comprehensive teaching facilities, advanced equipment, and an excellent learning atmosphere. A new campus, constructed with an investment of 900 million yuan, is being developed in two phases. The first phase, including the comprehensive building, library, gymnasium, art building, student dormitories, and canteens, has been put into use, while the second phase is currently underway. The campus is richly landscaped with lush greenery and flowers, filled with the sounds of study and laughter.
The college offers 31 undergraduate programs approved by the Ministry of Education, spanning seven major disciplines: Literature, Science, Engineering, Education, Management, Law, and Arts. These form five key program clusters: Language and Literature, Teacher Education, Science and Engineering, Management, andArts and Media. The college continuously deepens educational reform, strengthens teaching management, and actively explores innovative training models. It adjusts program structures according to societal needs, optimizes curriculum systems, enhances the cultivation of applied talents, strengthens vocational skills training, and emphasizes the development of students' learning ability, innovation, practical skills, communication, and social adaptability.
The faculty includes nationally outstanding teachers, provincial-level distinguished teaching masters, and excellent provincial teaching teams, along with foreign teachers from Russia, France,Germany, Japan, South Korea, and other countries, as well as prominent professors from Jilin Normal University. Over 70% of the faculty hold doctoral or master’s degrees.
Student enrollment is included in the national higher education enrollment plan. Upon completion of their studies and meeting all requirements, students are awarded undergraduate diplomas recognized by the state. Those who fulfill the requirements for bachelor’s degrees are awarded corresponding degrees by Boda College.
Since its establishment, the college has cultivated a group of applied talents with high ideological quality, strong practical ability, who meet urgent social demands. Students demonstrate outstanding academic performance and strong knowledge application skills. The college emphasizes high-quality employment, with graduates enjoying broad career opportunities. The rate of students admitted to postgraduate programs ranks among the top in similar institutions within the province.

The college has gained consistent recognition from society and parents, earniig titles such as National Model Unit for Party Construction in Party Branches" and "National Practical Training Base for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Private Unive "sities." lt has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and the National Language Commitee as a “National Demonstration School for Language Standardization," twice awarc ed the title “Gold Medal Envoy Satisfying the People of Jilin,and honored as “Best Public Reputation Unit" and “National Demonstration Unit for Standardized Management.
The college actively expands international exchange and cooperation, establishing close partnerships with ;universities in the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Germany, as well as in the Taiwan region of China. These collaborations promote student and faculty exchanges and diverse cooperative programs. During their studies, students can pursue further education abroad through various programs, gaining multicultural knowledge and broadening their international horizon. Faculty members are encouraged to engage in academic exchanges and teaching seminars at partner institutions.
