On the morning of September 15, Boda College of Jilin Normal University held the Opening Ceremony for the Class of 2025 in front of the Comprehensive Building. The ceremony began with all faculty members and students singing the National Anthem. The event was hosted by Vice President Zhang Hongyuan, with President Zhang Yong, Party Secretary Zhou Shujun, Executive President Wang Guojun, Deputy Party Secretary Li Ying, and Vice President Xiao Li in attendance. Faculty representatives from all administrative and teaching units, together with all new students of the Class of 2025, participated in the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Executive President Wang Guojun delivered a speech titled “Learning as the Foundation, Striving for the Summit.” On behalf of the university’s leadership and all faculty and students, he extended a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to the incoming class. He shared three messages with the students: Pursue excellence in learning—climb the peak of knowledge; Apply learning in practice—climb the peak of competence; Cultivate moral character through learning—climb the peak of virtue.

He encouraged students to cherish their time, always take learning as the cornerstone to build a solid foundation, take practice as the benchmark to strengthen abilities, and take character as the root to cultivate virtue. He hoped they would combine lofty aspirations—“to scale the highest peaks”—with diligence in the details—“to find depth in the smallest things.” With youthful steps, may they measure the height of their dreams and bravely climb the summits that belong both to themselves and to this era.

Zhao Dan, a teacher from the School of Chinese Language and Literature, Wang Xinyue, a student from the School of Foreign Languages, and Lv Chengyin, a freshman from the School of Communication, delivered speeches on behalf of all teachers, current students, and new students respectively.

Youth lies in striving; only through striving does youth shine. May all students remain steadfast and courageous, writing their own brilliant stories of youth at Boda College of Jilin Normal University!

As dazzling youth merged into the starry sea of Boda and dynamic rhythms filled the colorful campus, the Welcome Gala for New Students was grandly staged on the evening of September 15, marking a spectacular start to a new chapter.
