The school's teaching work conference for the beginning of the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year was successfully held in the lecture hall of the gymnasium on the morning of August 21. Zhou Shujun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zhang Hongyuan, Vice President of the university, attended the meeting. The expert supervision group, deans, deputy deans, program directors, directors of teachingresearch sections, teaching secretaries of all teaching units, as well as all staff members of the Academic Affairs Office attended the meeting. Zhang Baojun, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Professor Gao Feng, leader of the expert supervision group, summarized the teaching supervision work of the previous semester. While fully acknowledging the highlights and achievements of classroom teaching among the majority of teachers, he objectively sorted out shortcomings in classroom management, teaching design, courseware and blackboard writing, and put forward practical suggestions for improvement to enhance teachers’ teaching competence.
Director Wang Yanrong of the University Student Vocational Skills Training Center delivered a report on the work plan for the new semester, arranging key tasks focusing on the five-star certification of teachers' professional skills for normal majors, the training and selection of competition participants, the advancement of language and character standardization work, and the vocational skills enlightenment for freshmen.
Director Zhang Baojun of the Academic Affairs Office made comprehensive arrangements and deployments for key teaching tasks of this semester. He clarified the work objectives, implementation measures and work requirements focusing on major tasks including professional cluster construction, accreditation breakthrough for teacher education majors, digital transformation of teaching, integration of industry and education, improvement of practical education quality, service support for further study and civil service examinations, and daily teaching operation and management.

Finally, Party Secretary Zhou Shujun delivered a concluding speech. He emphasized that, as a private university, Boda College of Jilin Normal University undertakes the mission of fostering talents for the Party and the country. Teaching work constitutes the core link of all preparation work for the new semester. All faculty and staff shall fulfill their duties earnestly, stick to their posts, and make every effort to ensure a smooth start of the new semester. Deans and vice deans of all colleges shall consolidate primary responsibilities, take the lead in overall planning, and fully implement all teaching arrangements for the new semester. School leaders will conduct separate research and visits to each college and relevant functional departments to provide on-site work guidance, coordinate and solve practical problems, so as to provide solid guarantee for the orderly development of education and teaching work in the new semester.
The meeting further unified consensus and clarified key tasks, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality advancement of the university’s talent cultivation work in the new semester.
